This cocktail calls for Liber & Co. Real Grenadine and Liber & Co. Demerara Gum Syrup. We use and stock them, made by Liber & Co. in Texas from real ingredients.
Dr. Funk
A Don the Beachcomber classic named after Dr Bernard Funk, a German doctor living in Tahiti in the late 1800s. A splash of absinthe gives the dark rum a bold, aniseed edge.
Ingredients
- 67.5 ml Jamaican rum
- 7.5 ml Absinthe
- 15 ml Demerara gum syrup
- 7.5 ml Grenadine
- 15 ml Fresh lime juice
- 15 ml Fresh lemon juice
- 30 ml Soda water
Instructions
- Add everything except the soda water to a shaker.
- Add ice and shake hard for about 10 seconds.
- Strain into a chilled rocks glass filled with crushed ice.
- Top with soda water.
