Hurricane

Born at Pat O’Brien’s in New Orleans in the 1940s, the Hurricane takes its name from the curvy, hurricane-lamp-shaped glass it’s served in. Passion fruit is the star of the show, so a proper passionfruit syrup makes all the difference.

Ingredients

60 ml Dark rum
30 ml Fresh lemon juice
30 ml Passionfruit syrup

Instructions

Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice.
Shake well for about 10 seconds.
Strain into a hurricane glass filled with fresh ice.
Garnish with an orange slice and a cocktail cherry.

Passionfruit Syrup
